Green hydrogen as a key driver for decarbonization and energy transformation

Armonia Green Galicia, a subsidiary of IGNIS, has obtained environmental authorization to build an ammonia plant in the port of Punta Langosteira (A Coruña). This ammonia will be produced from green hydrogen generated by the company at the Resonac facilities, with an initial electrolyzer capacity of 200 MW, expandable to 400 MW.

In this interview conducted by AGH2, José Antonio Membiela, CEO of IGNIS P2X, highlights that this project could be considered a Hydrogen Valley and serve as an impetus for other smaller initiatives. He also emphasizes the need to streamline planning and facilitate access to the industrial network, although he insists that the lack of connection should not hinder the progress of these projects.
