IGNIS advances in port automation and sustainability with the CleanPorts project

  • CleanPorts improves multimodal logistics with Artificial Intelligence and collaborative robotics.
  • This project optimizes processes with sustainable vehicles and renewable energy.
  • IGNIS and Astander collaborate to advance port automation.

In mid-September 2024, the IGNIS team met to analyze the project's progress. CleanPorts in its 2023 year. This initiative, supported by a grant from CDTI Innovation, Its main objective is to improve the logistics processes of handling goods at a multimodal level (containers, bulk goods, pallets and last mile parcel delivery).

To achieve this, advanced technologies such as the Artificial Intelligence (AI) electrical collaborative robotics in process automation, optimization platforms, as well as the integration of more sustainable vehicles, renewable energies and energy vectors such as hydrogen.

This project is focused on revolutionizing port efficiency, reducing environmental impact, and improving sustainability. We also have the valuable participation of our colleagues from Astander, who contributed their experience to this exciting day of collaboration.
