IGNIS Energ\u00eda has set a new milestone in the Spanish energy sector by becoming the first independent market representative to manage a battery in the country.<\/strong> The company has launched a 1 MW stand-alone facility in Lekunberri (Navarra), integrating it into an intelligent management system that combines renewable generation, storage, and energy demand.<\/p>\n

The battery will allow IGNIS to offer services in the daily, intraday, and balancing electricity markets, providing flexibility and stability to the national grid. This initiative strengthens the company\u2019s position as a benchmark in Adjustment Services with Renewable Power Plants in Spain and Portugal, now expanding its reach into the field of storage.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"The project, part of the ACADIEMS program, is being developed in collaboration with Statkraft, Electra Valdizarbe, Geoactio, the National Renewable Energy Centre (CENER), and NAITEC. It also incorporates second-life batteries supplied by BeePlanet, promoting circular economy practices in the energy sector and reinforcing the company\u2019s commitment to sustainability.<\/p>\n
