{"id":10470,"date":"2025-10-30T10:07:21","date_gmt":"2025-10-30T09:07:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ignis.es\/?p=10470"},"modified":"2025-10-30T10:09:19","modified_gmt":"2025-10-30T09:09:19","slug":"ignis-obtiene-la-aap-para-la-hibridacion-de-la-central-de-escatron-con-311-mw-de-renovables","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ignis.es\/en\/ignis-obtiene-la-aap-para-la-hibridacion-de-la-central-de-escatron-con-311-mw-de-renovables\/","title":{"rendered":"IGNIS obtains the AAP for the hybridization of the Escatr\u00f3n power plant with 311 MW of renewables"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-10452 aligncenter\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/2025.03-central-aereo-Escatron-II-300x268.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"373\" height=\"333\" srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/2025.03-central-aereo-Escatron-II-300x268.jpg 300w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/2025.03-central-aereo-Escatron-II-1030x920.jpg 1030w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/2025.03-central-aereo-Escatron-II-768x686.jpg 768w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/2025.03-central-aereo-Escatron-II-705x630.jpg 705w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/2025.03-central-aereo-Escatron-II.jpg 1326w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 373px) 100vw, 373px\" \/><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"261\">IGNIS has obtained the <strong data-start=\"23\" data-end=\"67\">Administrative Prior Authorization (AAP)<\/strong> from the <strong data-start=\"77\" data-end=\"141\">Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge<\/strong> for the <strong data-start=\"150\" data-end=\"221\">hybridization project of the Escatr\u00f3n Peaker power plant (Zaragoza)<\/strong> with renewable generation facilities.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"263\" data-end=\"481\">This milestone represents a <strong data-start=\"291\" data-end=\"334\">decisive step in the company\u2019s strategy<\/strong> to integrate clean energy into existing facilities, optimizing resources and advancing toward a <strong data-start=\"431\" data-end=\"478\">more sustainable and efficient energy model<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"483\" data-end=\"850\">The project includes the installation of <strong data-start=\"524\" data-end=\"544\">three wind farms<\/strong>, each equipped with <strong data-start=\"565\" data-end=\"587\">6 MW wind turbines<\/strong>, and a <strong data-start=\"595\" data-end=\"625\">47.2 MW photovoltaic plant<\/strong> located across the municipalities of <strong data-start=\"663\" data-end=\"705\">S\u00e1stago, Chiprana, Caspe, and Escatr\u00f3n<\/strong>. The total installed capacity will amount to <strong data-start=\"751\" data-end=\"775\">311.2 megawatts (MW)<\/strong>, exceeding the current output of the thermal power plant (<strong data-start=\"834\" data-end=\"846\">274.6 MW<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"852\" data-end=\"1036\">The <strong data-start=\"856\" data-end=\"863\">AAP<\/strong>, granted on <strong data-start=\"876\" data-end=\"898\">September 29, 2025<\/strong>, authorizes the construction of these facilities, which already received a <strong data-start=\"974\" data-end=\"1024\">favorable Environmental Impact Statement (EIS)<\/strong> in March.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1038\" data-end=\"1489\">IGNIS has maintained a <strong data-start=\"1061\" data-end=\"1103\">long-standing relationship with Arag\u00f3n<\/strong>, where it acquired the Escatr\u00f3n Peaker power plant in 2016, one of the company\u2019s first assets. This milestone not only marks a significant advance in IGNIS\u2019s contribution to the energy transition but also <strong data-start=\"1310\" data-end=\"1347\">reinforces its ties with Escatr\u00f3n<\/strong>, where the company began its journey, and with <strong data-start=\"1395\" data-end=\"1405\">Arag\u00f3n<\/strong>, strengthening a <strong data-start=\"1423\" data-end=\"1452\">sustainable energy system<\/strong> that drives the <strong data-start=\"1469\" data-end=\"1486\">local economy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1491\" data-end=\"1756\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">With the granting of this AAP, <strong data-start=\"1522\" data-end=\"1598\">IGNIS consolidates its role as a key player in Spain\u2019s energy transition<\/strong>, promoting the integration of renewable technologies into existing infrastructures to progress toward a <strong data-start=\"1703\" data-end=\"1755\">more sustainable and efficient electricity model<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>IGNIS has obtained the Administrative Prior Authorization (AAP) from the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge for the hybridization project of the Escatr\u00f3n Peaker power plant (Zaragoza) with renewable generation facilities.
