This initiative <strong>has received an investment of six million euros, thanks to the Science and Innovation Missions Program, co-financed with Next Generation European Funds<\/strong>, through the Center for Technological Development and Innovation (CDTI) of the Ministry of Science and Innovation in order to optimize port logistics operations by reducing CO2 emissions. <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-7693\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/clean-ports-5.0-ignis-495x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"164\" srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/clean-ports-5.0-ignis-300x164.jpg 300w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/clean-ports-5.0-ignis-1030x562.jpg 1030w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/clean-ports-5.0-ignis-768x419.jpg 768w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/clean-ports-5.0-ignis-705x385.jpg 705w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/clean-ports-5.0-ignis.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Increasing international trade and environmental pressures to reduce carbon<\/strong> emissions have put the industry in the spotlight. In this context, the Clean Ports 5.0 Project focuses on providing solutions to optimize the logistics management of these three ports, as well as <strong>addressing strategic challenges such as climate change and the energy transition to renewable generation sources<\/strong>. In addition, it will contribute to boosting the adoption of advanced technologies in the ports.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>By the end of this year, <strong>the initiative will have invested more than one and a half million euros to advance the proposed activities<\/strong>, thus demonstrating the firm commitment of the entities involved to achieve the following objectives:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Advanced logistics<\/strong>: implementation of artificial intelligence and robotic collaboration.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sustainable energy generation sources<\/strong>: adoption of renewable energy solutions.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Intermodal efficiency<\/strong>: synergistic coordination at the container terminal.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Optimized mobility<\/strong>: driving green practices in port processes and last mile.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This project represents a collaboration between seven leading companies in the sector, including <strong>IGNIS, Aquiles Solutions, Astilleros de Santander, Eiffage Infraestructuras, FM Logistic Ib\u00e9rica, Passion Motorbike Factory and TransBase Soler<\/strong>, and has the collaboration of the technology centers <strong>Cartif and Tecnalia<\/strong>. In addition, the consulting firm <strong>Leyton<\/strong> supports the administrative coordination of the consortium.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sara Fern\u00e1ndez, project manager at IGNIS, <\/strong>highlights that &#8220;thanks to initiatives such as Clean Ports 5.0, several strategic companies in the sector are aligned to offer innovative solutions to optimize processes from an energy sustainability point of view, mainly betting on renewable energies.
