IGNIS P2X takes part in the event on the second European Hydrogen Bank auction and the IDAE Hydrogen Valleys programme
On June 25th, 2025, the CEO of IGNIS P2X, Jose Antonio Membiela, attended the event organized by the Spanish Energy Club (Enerclub) at its Madrid headquarters, focused on two of the most relevant initiatives for the development of renewable hydrogen in Europe: the second auction of the European Hydrogen Bank and the Hydrogen Valleys programme led by IDAE.
The hybrid-format event featured speakers from the Ministry of Industry, IDAE, consulting firms such as Deloitte, and leading companies in the energy sector. Discussions covered the technical, financial and strategic criteria of both initiatives, as well as challenges related to project financing and regulatory compatibility.
Jose Antonio Membiela shared his perspective on how these initiatives can drive the consolidation of strategic industrial clusters, contributing to the development of a competitive green hydrogen ecosystem at a national level. Aligned with our Power-to-X strategy, he highlighted the importance of regulatory and financial frameworks to accelerate transformative decarbonisation projects.

The average grant awarded amounts to €533,000 per MW.

36 proposals were submitted to the second Hydrogen Bank auction.

The €400 million aid scheme was recently approved by the Council of Ministers and is expected to be published shortly in the Official State Gazette (BOE).
