COMMITTED TO THE TERRITORIES WHERE WE OPERATE
IGNIS incorporates sustainability into its business strategy, both at corporate level and in each of its projects, evaluating and developing both the social and environmental variables.With the aim of coordinating IGNIS’s local social action and increasing its impact on the territory, the Commitment Plan has been drawn up based on 4 strategic lines:

PROMOTING LOCAL EMPLOYABILITY AND GROUPS AT RISK OF EXCLUSION
Most energy projects are located in rural environments. Hence IGNIS’s firm commitment to contribute to sustainable rural development, revitalising the local environments in which it operates. As a reflection of this commitment, IGNIS has promoted the following actions:
Promotion of local employability and of groups at risk of exclusion
IGNIS organises various free theoretical and practical courses on the assembly of photovoltaic solar installations with the aim of increasing employability and encouraging the recruitment of local staff at its photovoltaic plants.
In the development of these courses, priority is given to unemployed people with difficulties in accessing employment based in the areas where the courses take place.
Since the implementation of this local training plan, IGNIS has given these courses in various locations in Spain with a total of 262 students.
Local presence and recruitment
IGNIS opens local offices and creates job opportunities for local residents.
In the line of energy solutions, IGNIS relies on trusted local partners for assembly and installation works and gives priority to local contractors. In addition, as part of this presence and relationship with local communities, it carries out awareness-raising and training sessions for young people by giving talks in schools.
Dialogue and participation
IGNIS maintains a permanent dialogue with the main representatives of the local communities, both local authorities and associations, and information meetings with neighbours.
Contribution
IGNIS carries out different actions related to:

– The improvement of local facilities and infrastructure.
– The preservation and enhancement of cultural and natural heritage.
