IGNIS advances port automation and sustainability with CleanPorts project
- CleanPorts improves multimodal logistics with Artificial Intelligence and collaborative robotics.
- In this project, processes are optimized with sustainable vehicles and renewable energies.
- IGNIS and Astander collaborate to advance port automation.
In mid-September 2024 the IGNIS team met to analyze the progress of the CleanPorts project in its 2023 annuity. This initiative, supported by a CDTI Innovation grant, has as its main objective to improve logistics processes for handling goods at multimodal level (containers, bulk, pallets and last mile parcels).
To this end, advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and collaborative robotics are being incorporated in the automation of processes, optimization platforms, as well as the integration of more sustainable vehicles, renewable energies and energy carriers such as hydrogen.
This project is focused on revolutionizing port efficiency, reducing environmental impact and improving sustainability. In addition, we had the valuable participation of our colleagues from Astander, who brought their expertise to this exciting day of collaboration.
